Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • cups warm milk
  • cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Method

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs thoroughly. Then stir in the warm milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until combined. Be careful not to overmix - a few small lumps are okay!
  5. Lightly grease the preheated waffle iron with cooking spray if needed.
  6. Ladle the batter onto the hot waffle iron (amount will depend on the size of your iron).
  7. Close the iron and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, about 3-5 minutes.
  8. Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with remaining batter.
  9. Serve immediately while hot for the best texture and taste.
