Ingredients
  

  • 1 ear of fresh corn in the husk
  • 1 paper towel
  • Optional: butter salt, and pepper for serving

Method
 

  1. Examine your ear of corn and remove any loose, dry outer husks, but keep the main green husks intact.
  2. Rinse the corn under cool water briefly to add moisture to the husk.
  3. Wrap the corn completely in a paper towel.
  4. Place the wrapped corn on a microwave-safe plate.
  5. Microwave on high power for 4 minutes (for one ear of corn).
  6. Using an oven mitt, carefully remove the hot corn from the microwave.
  7. Let the corn rest for 2 minutes - this allows the steam to finish cooking the kernels.
  8. Holding the corn by the stalk end, cut off about 1 inch from the other end.
  9. Grip the top of the husks and shake - the corn should slide out completely clean, leaving the silk behind!
  10. Season with butter, salt, and pepper as desired and enjoy immediately.
