Method
- Leave the corn in its husk. The husk acts as a natural steamer and helps the corn cook evenly.
- Place the unhusked ear of corn directly in the microwave. No plate needed!
- Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes for one ear. (Add about 2 minutes per additional ear if cooking multiple.)
- Carefully remove the hot corn using a kitchen towel or oven mitt.
- Let the corn cool for 1-2 minutes, then cut off about 1 inch from the bottom (stalk end) of the cob.
- Hold the corn by the uncut end (the silk tassel end) and squeeze/shake. The corn will slide right out of the husk, completely silk-free!
- Add your favorite toppings and enjoy immediately.
