Method
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). If desired, line a baking sheet with foil for easier cleanup.
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture helps them brown better in the oven.
- Brush both sides of the pork chops with olive oil.
- Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, thyme, and garlic (if using).
- Place the seasoned pork chops on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each chop.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
