Method
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or in a small saucepan over low heat.
- In a medium mixing bowl, sift the cocoa powder to remove any lumps.
- Pour the melted butter into the cocoa powder and stir until well combined.
- Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, alternating with milk, beating well after each addition.
- Add the vanilla extract and salt, then beat until the frosting is smooth and reaches your desired consistency.
- If the frosting is too thick, add a little more milk (one teaspoon at a time). If it's too thin, add a bit more powdered sugar.
