Ingredients
Method
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the diced onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened and translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground turkey to the skillet and break it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
- Once the turkey is no longer pink (about 5-7 minutes), drain any excess liquid if necessary.
- In a small bowl, combine all the seasonings: chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, oregano, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the turkey and stir to coat evenly.
- Pour in water or chicken broth, stirring to combine, and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the liquid to reduce slightly.
- Warm your tortillas according to package directions.
- Assemble tacos by adding the seasoned turkey mixture to tortillas and topping with your favorite taco toppings.
