Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon butter plus a little extra for greasing
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons almond flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder herbs, or other seasonings

Method
 

  1. Place 1 tablespoon butter in your microwave-safe mug and microwave for about 15-20 seconds until melted. Swirl to coat the inside of the mug.
  2. Add the egg to the mug and beat well with a fork until frothy.
  3. Add the almond flour, baking powder, and salt to the mug. Mix thoroughly until well combined and no lumps remain.
  4. If using any optional seasonings, stir them in now.
  5. Microwave on high for 90 seconds. Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your microwave's power.
  6. Let the bread cool for about 1 minute before running a knife around the edge and turning it out onto a plate.
  7. For extra crispiness, slice the bread and toast it in a toaster or skillet for 1-2 minutes.
