- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat an 8×8-inch baking pan with baking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until glossy.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened.
- Gently fold in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined—don’t overmix!
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into 16 squares.
