Method
- Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in maple extract and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Allow syrup to cool completely before transferring to a glass bottle or jar.
