- Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk and half the onion soup mix in a large bowl; mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into eight equal patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear patties for 2 minutes per side.
- Arrange the browned patties in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, remaining onion soup mix, cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Pour the gravy over the patties, cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
- Serve each steak smothered in the rich brown gravy with your favorite sides.
