- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the white sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
- Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface and cut shapes with cookie cutters.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool cookies on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
