Ingredients
Method
- Using kitchen scissors, cut a slit lengthwise into the shell of each piece of crab. This will make it easier to extract the meat after cooking. If your crab legs are frozen, ensure they're completely thawed before cooking.
- Fill a large pot with about 2 inches of water and bring to a boil. Place a steamer basket in the pot, then arrange the crab legs in the basket. Cover and steam for 5-7 minutes until heated through. The crab is already cooked, so you're just warming it up.
- While the crab is steaming, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned. Stir in the lemon juice, chopped parsley, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Transfer the steamed crab legs to a serving platter. Pour some of the garlic butter sauce over the crab legs and serve the remaining sauce in small dipping bowls. Garnish with lemon wedges and additional fresh parsley if desired.
