- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, and dried oregano. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Slice the Italian bread loaf in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on each cut side.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the buttered bread for a cheesy crust.
- Bake 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let rest 1–2 minutes before slicing into 1-inch pieces.
