Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the diced onion and garlic to the beef and cook until onions are translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- If using frozen vegetables, fold them into the beef mixture.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top, covering the entire surface.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of Cheddar cheese over the tater tots and return to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tater tots are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot.
