- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring, until browned and crumbly, about 5–10 minutes. Drain off excess grease.
- Sprinkle in the taco seasoning and pour in ½ cup water. Stir until the beef is evenly coated and the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes.
- Let the meat rest off the heat for a minute to soak up the flavors.
- Carefully cut the top off each chip bag and gently crush the chips inside.
- Spoon a portion of seasoned beef into each bag, then top with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, sour cream, and salsa.
