Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves minced garlic
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it begins to bubble.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently for about 5 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add garlic if using.
  4. Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Toss the sauce with cooked fettuccine pasta and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
