Ingredients

  • 4 skinless boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Gather the ingredients. Tip: Let chicken rest at room temperature for 10 minutes so it cooks evenly.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Place chicken in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over the top. Seal and refrigerate for 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F). Brush grates with oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Remove chicken from marinade, shaking off excess. Grill each breast for about 6–7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Transfer chicken to a plate, cover loosely with foil, and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. This locks in the juices for maximum tenderness.
  7. Serve with fresh lemon wedges, a green salad, or your favorite side dishes. Enjoy!
