Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 cups oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed saucepan to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. Gradually pour in warm milk and stir until a soft dough forms.
  4. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for 1 minute.
  5. Divide dough into 18 balls and flatten each into a thin round.
  6. Fry each round in hot oil for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
