Method
- Gather all ingredients and preheat a large griddle or skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of rye bread.
- On the unbuttered side of four slices, spread 1 tablespoon of Thousand Island dressing.
- Layer each with two slices of corned beef, two slices of Swiss cheese, and ΒΌ cup of sauerkraut.
- Spread dressing on the top slice, place it buttered side out, and close the sandwich.
- Place sandwiches on the preheated griddle; cook 3β4 minutes per side until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
- Press gently with a spatula or sandwich press for an even melt.
- Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve immediately.
