Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillets skin removed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1 garlic clove minced (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a medium baking dish or line it with parchment for easy cleanup.
  2. Place the salmon fillets into the dish, skin-side down, spacing them evenly for even cooking.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, and chopped dill until well combined into a bright, herb-infused sauce.
  4. Season the salmon with salt and pepper, then pour the lemon dill butter sauce over each fillet, ensuring every piece gets coated in the zesty citrus mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque in the center and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Spoon any extra buttery sauce from the pan over the fillets before serving to keep them juicy.
