Our homemade taco seasoning recipe made with chili powder, cumin, paprika, and a few other easy-to-find spices is cheaper than packaged versions!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients on your countertop. It helps to have a small bowl or jar ready.
  2. Measure each spice carefully. Use fresh spices for peak flavor.
  3. Combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Whisk or shake vigorously until fully blended and no clumps remain.
  5. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Keeps for up to 6 months.
